Common Language Techniques:
Alliteration:
The main reason to use alliteration in poetry is that it sounds pleasing. It’s a means to get the attention of readers or listeners.
Hyperbole:
Hyperbole is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech.
Personification:
Giving an object or animal-human characteristics to create interesting imagery.
Simile:
A simile is a figure of speech that directly compares two things. Using words such as “like”, “as”, or “then”, while metaphors create an implicit comparison.
