Macbeth Quotes:

Fair is foul, and foul is fair” – Three Witches
Is a summary of what is to come in the tale. It is represented by what is considered a bad thing is actually good, and what seems bad is actually good.

Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my black and deep desires” -Macbeth
Macbeth wants the “stars to hide their fires” because he wants to be Thane of Cawdor so bad because he wants the predictions to stay accurate.
(metaphor) by saying his thoughts aren’t literally dark but are dark because they are evil.
(alliteration)

Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing” -Macbeth
Macbeth says this after his wife as died and thinks there is no reason left to live.

“Doubtful it stood, As two spent swimmers, that do cling together and choke their art”

“You are lesser then Macbeth, but also much greater” – Withces

“Unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to toe-top of direst cruelty! Make thick my blood”

“Is this a dagger I see before me? With the handle towards my hand?” – Macbeth
